Dr. Karsten Schween
At the heart of the team is Dr. Karsten Schween. For a long time, he was managing partner at INTES Consulting for Family Businesses, and at the INTES Academy for Family Businesses. Before that, he acted as chief Executive Officer of Freiberger Holding for many years. Prior to that, he consulted family businesses and corporations for many years as a Partner at the global business consultancy McKinsey & Company, working across different production and service industries in Europe, the USA, and Asia. He completed a business apprenticeship and studied business management at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, where he later earned a doctorate in finance.
Dr. Karsten Schween’s work focuses on solving owners’ strategic, organisational and operational issues. Along with owner families, he develops business and family strategies, provides support in succession or emergency situations, and regularly accompanies the implementation of the necessary changes as a coach, sparring partner or expert. He also acts as chairman of the supervisory board in different family businesses.
